Jeff thanks for the comment. I really appreciate your feedback. I always find it hard to believe that reps are so un-knowledgeabe about their products. I am currently working as a territory manager for the exclusive distributor for Long Island wines in Florida. I have only been with them for a couple of weeks, and admittedly, even though I have a very strong wine background, my knowledge on Long Island wines was very limited. However, I have been making it my personal mission to learn all I can about Long Island and the wines.

Although I do have to say, I would rather someone tell me they don't know something than just make up whatever comes to mind and distribute bad information which leads to further wine confusion on the part of consumers.

Amen! I recently bought wine from a big box store for a party. A rep for Washington state wines was there that knew next to nothing about the wines from her own state. She didn't even notice the case of Chateau Ste Michelle I was carrying. The little guys are sooooo much better!
